Beautiful pebble tileThe pebble tiles are beautiful Very difficult to install. You need to separate individual pebbles to avoid seeing the seams. Would be nice if they gave you a bucket of pebbles to piece in. Also I asked the rep to make sure the tiles come from the same "lot" but they were not. Several tiles had larger pebbles....they were definitely different. I had to complete the job that day and could wait and send them back. So be careful. Also seal the tiles first before applying the grout as it is easier to clean the grout off. You non sanded grout.

Beautiful! This would be my first time installing tiling and I figured pebble tiles would be a good way to start! First, if you do this... read! Read! Read many blogs, YouTube's and posts! Pressing the tiles together creates seams! You must take apart the tiles to avoid seams showing. So there's 1 con! They don't offer single stones! 2nd con, the mesh backing feels like insulation slivers when removing stones. I'm almost wondering if it would be easier buying loose stones and forget the tiles?! I can't find anywhere that discusses how easily the thinset oozes through the pebbles and mesh. Obviously this is where the grout is supppsed to go and wiping the thinset away isn't an easy task. I'll be grouting over some thinset in hopes it won't matter. I read use 1/4 x 1/4 trowel which is definitely too much for the mini pebbles. I'm covering my entire entryway which is taking some time. A picture of my closet is below and it took about 2 hrs for appx 6-8 sq ft. So far, I'm happy with the results, but I still need to seal, grout and seal again. I'm a single mom with teens running in/out! I have faith it will stand to the test of time.
